Rydges Fortitude Valley - BrisbaneWomen Ending Exploitation by Prostitution are pleased to announce our 2023 conference to be held on 16 September at Brisbane Rydges Fortitude Valley. Key note speakers include Letitia Shelton, author of several books including 'Fighting for our Daughters' and 'Disruptive City Women'. Letitia is founder of the City Women of Toowoomba who are making that city a better place for girls and women and she has been working with the city council to make Toowoomba a "porn free city".
Also speaking is Lisa Olsson who is a former Scandinavian Human Rights Lawyer now working in Australia. Lisa works to promote human rights and freedoms around the world and is engaged in high profile cases concerning trafficking as well as other human rights issues. Lisa has extensive expertise in the so-called “Human Rights Model” – a legal structure proven successful in the fight against human sex trafficking.
We will also hear from survivors and Members of Parliament as well as an update on the QLD Law Reform Institute Report.
